Inspired by the ancient traditions of Japanese joinery and simplicity in structure, this piece is useful alone as a telephone table, or lamp support. It was designed to be disassemblable for ease of moving. Two combined can make a larger coffee table, or work surface.
This piece is constructed of solid birch, mortise and tenon joints pinned by copper pegs. The top here is 1/2 inch beveled- edge glass. Marble would also do nicely. The supports are disassemblable for ease of moving.
